Acerca de este lugar

The Teatro Real, known to Madrileños simply as the Opera, stands on the Plaza de Isabel II directly opposite the Royal Palace, making it one of the most architecturally prominent theatres in Spain. Inaugurated in 1850 under Queen Isabella II, the building was conceived as a grand Italian-style opera house and has since served as a defining cultural institution for the city. After decades of intermittent closure and extensive restoration work completed in 1997, the Teatro Real reopened as a fully equipped modern opera house while preserving the grandeur of its nineteenth-century facade and auditorium.

Today the venue draws visitors not only for its operatic and orchestral programme but also for its position at the centre of Madrid's historic core. Currently on offer through this page is a Royal Madrid Palace Guided Tour combined with a tapas and flamenco show, giving visitors a curated introduction to the Spanish capital's royal heritage and traditional performing arts in a single evening.
